Not quite done yet but its going to be installed into either message center or cluster. Arduino uno with a 8 channel thermocouple board.

Any chance you're documenting that somewhere?

I was planning on a row of 6 on top of the dash. Also planning a pedestal mount PC or tablet, mostly for navigation and intelligence, but also for cameras and maybe instrumentation.

i'm kind of proud of mine because I made the dash pod. first had to build a vacuum table. then made a mold, filled mold with plaster of paris, sanded and sanded until i got the shape i wanted, then vacuum formed it out of 1/8" abs plastic. it's been in there about 6 months now and in the florida sun. seems to be holding up well. it's just above the message center, similar to the stock style "banks gauge kits" that were an option in our trucks

I posted a little bit here:
Replacing the dash cluster with a lcd screen

I recently ordered all the thermocouples needed for the install, I am currently searching for a vacuum florescent display that fits the message center hole. The vacuum florescent display is what will match the other chrysler green stuff.

And to think, I think these trucks are great because of their lack of electronic components.

The electronics I'm using are not much more than you would see in any typical 52mm electronic gauge. don't worry though, the engine is staying mechanical, not getting into anything crazy like a DIY common rail 12v...

Mknite; I looked into doing what shackwrr is doing in detail and it makes ALOT of since IF you can "fabricate" electronics or just have loads of time to waste... Basically you use the same sensor as any gauge the rest of us run except you get all the values on one nice neat screen... Wish I had the time to do the same!
