Here are my gauges now in the crewcab....I went with an Autometer 2 pod on the pillar for my boost and Pyro, and the single pod on the top of the column for the tach.

Only one I can find tonight...will take a better one and post it up.

Does the pod look seemless? I might pick one of these up, what size guages do they hold?

It's a nice pod set up, decent angle for driver visibility. It is an add on unit so it's not seamless with the original pillar cover. But it does look nice.

Thanks gyman that is a clean way of doing it with the OEM dash bezel. I'm going to try and make a complete new gauge bezel and use the factory dash cover instead of doing a complete custom dash in my crew like I orginally planned on doing.

Was looking for ideas of what material to use.

Here are some gauges I had made for my 50 Power Wagon, it's re powered with a 12v VE engine so still qualifies right??! Either going to make a panel out of stainless steel or aluminum

Why don't you just put some wood grain vinyl over the melamine?

Not really a fan of wood grain vinyl. That's why it's all gone from my crew cab and carbon fibre in its place.

Although some of the hydro dipped wood grain looks pretty good.

I had a friend it high school that did a really super believable wood grain with paint. You couldn't tell that it wasen't wood.
He was getting known for dash boards. and like a lot of really talented people he went off the deep end.

I occasionally work with a guy whose job entails painting metal doors to look like 100 year old wood at the PA Capital. I was there 4 years before I realized those doors were painted metal and not stained wood (only because he had to repaint one due to damage). Pretty durned impressive.
