Hey everyone I am going to tab my KDP on my 92 and have been looking for a kit bit they are all $100+! Does anyone know where I can get just the tab? Or possibly the dimensions of the tab so I can make my own?!

Get a big 2 inch or so fender washer, grind it down to a raindrop shape with the bolt hole in the middle of the base of the raindrop. You may want to bend it slightly once you have it fitted up. Then get one longer case bolt [to take up the washer thickness] find your thread locker tube, and buy a front seal for the timing case cover. Install all the parts as normal.
Make sure to remove all the case bolts that you can reach easily, clean them up, lock tight them and torque them back down.
Do this one bolt at a time.

I use brake cleaner to clean out the bolt holes.The tube works great to get into the holes. Wear safety glasses you don't want that stuff in your eyes.

I just cut them out of scrap metal and shape and bend until it fits right. The only part you really need to buy is the front seal. Use gasket maker on the cover if you want

I just take a punch and peen the edge of the hole a bit...

That's what I did.
Nothing to loosen, fall out or cause future havoc. Didn't cost a penny, either

Just make sure to install the dust cover that comes with the seal. Getting it all back together and seeing the new dust seal smiling at you from the rad support where you set it down aa couple hours earlier. Don't ask how I know.

This will work, but needs to be bent a bit as the first gen flange is stepped.
