How much did you pay for your first gen?
#16
3,250 for a 89' with 203k, bought it a couple of weeks ago.
The body is very clean with no rust at all(Florida truck) and the truck was in decent shape mechanically. The guy I bought it from was the original owner, he gave me all of the papers from the purchase, sales order, original window sticker etc. Thought that was neat.
When I'm done I'll probably have $5k in it and have it just the way I want it...
I hope...

Bought mine for 4k with TT&L. Drove by the lot nearly broke my neck trying to look at it. Went in and had to WAIT to test drive it. 3 guys in front of me, two of them were buddies of other guys out of state looking for one. I drove it and fell in love with its gutlessness. Tried to buy it but guy number 2 had a "deal" on it already, I said do you take CASH . Rest is history. Used car man said that he'd never seen anything like that over an "ol dodge" I said that youll get it everytime you get one and if you keep em at that price you'll get beat to death.

OK, with all the insane prices for 1st gens lately, this has prompted me to ask, "Just how much did you pay for your first gen?" Preferably the one you drive everyday/most often, there r those of u who have one too many more then me! (but it is a multiple choice poll!)
I've put easily $5,000 more into it. But that's cheap compared with a new one that I can't stand the looks of, nor work on.
Regards, DBF

I paid 25000 for my 91 D250 which I sold in 98 and I just paid 8000 for my 92 w250. This one is turning out to be alot more fun due to this forum,I wish it was here in 91.

I paid $800 for my current one and drove it home from Houston TX, averaging 22mpg, though it couldnt get out of its own way in the process. I have put about $4500 into it, including but not limited to injector pump and sticks, turbo, head gasket, transmission rebuild, Dana80 rear axle and wheels to go with it, all front end suspension components, and tires all around. I fell in love with it when I first filled it up and spilled fuel on my boots, thinking it had a venting problem and needed another 3-4 gallons (230something miles on less than 10gallons). It didnt. ALso ,I drove for 20hrs (Eventful trip back home with the other rig) and wasnt sore in the captain's chairs.
