Agreed but for the amount of fuel o have without a fuel system I need something that will provide proper air and spool while being a single turbo because I don't have the time or Money for a compound setup.
I spoke to Mitch at diesel auto power and he said that they can do a warranty upgrade I'd just have to pay the difference. He said the 64/68/12 would be a little bit better to handle everything while lowering boost because its a bigger charger and not sacrificing too much spool

I don't think you will gain much at lower rpms with water/methanol injection. At least not enough to make up for a big turbo. Why not use a VGT turbo and a stand alone controller?

Got the turbo off last night and apparently I blew part of the wastegate apart... Takes 5 days for cap to get my turbo. Gonna upgrade it to a 64/68/12 wastegated and gonna wrap the downpipe while I have it off. Might try to wrap the manifold also and might get a turbo blanket.

Just an update. I got the turbo warrentied. They didn't upgrade it but they put a different tail section on it that was set to open the waste gate at 42 psi. Since then everything is working perfectly and I was able to run the truck on the dyno here at englishtown at the diesel nationals. I hit 396 rwhp and 818 ft-lbs. What do I need to make 500hp? I have no fuel system or water meth yet And I know the water meth should boost me about 40hp.

Good to hear!
At what rpm are you spooled up?
Well, before the next gear anyway...

I'm not 100% sure. The dyno run was a 5th gear pull from 50 to 120. The guy said he let off at like 3200 rpm because of high egts. But the spool I would imagine was around 1200 rpm

"not 100% sure" and "imagine" don't lend themselves to credible info that others who may be interested in your setup are seeking.

I like your dyno numbers - Mustang dyno?

Let's translate this into real world info for the folks considering your turbo setup -

What are your track times?

This is all just so the non believers don't attribute your HP #s to your "modded banjo bolt" setup contributing to your 1200rpm spool on a largish single.

I haven't ran it down the track yet. But its not just a single thing that makes the HP its everything working together perfectly to get the turbo to spool asap and to burn as efficient as possible. Soot=unburnt fuel= loss in power. Obviously I have the understanding if I'm pushing 400hp on a pretty large single turbo with with slight haze And little lag and no fuel system. I have the dyno sheet to show for it. And I can tell you exactly what is done to the truck Because I did it all myself. As long as you understand how the engine fuel rate and air work together its easy to accomplish
