Has anybody here rebuilt ther own steering box?

I haven't tried it yet. Just wondering how hard it is.

Look at bearings in pic 10 in the link that is a GM gear box. dodge used the same style box only without the bearings.

Redheads puts the bearings in the dodge and ford boxes

watch out for sector shaft play if you rebuild, another mysteryman read:

I replaced my pitman shaft seal because it was dripping once. It was spraying out when i was done lol.

I suceeded at getting really proficient at removing a steering gear from a 90's silverado.
