Get rid of the old beater & trade up?
No more tools, fuel additive & spare belt rattling around behind the bench.
No more cleaning out HVAC.
No more browsing the classifieds & tinkering.
Would replace with 2016 CTS-V. Lots of spare time, and freedom.
Could even put vinyl Mopar seat covers in it.
What say?

I got another car to drive back and forth to work most days but I'm keeping my truck. I drive it one day a week to work and on the weekends.
Besides it's always nice to have a spare vehicle sitting around.

Why not just nab a later model third gen 2003-2011 Grand Marquis / Crown Vic / Town Car Panther Chassis for cheap and be done with it, have the best of both worlds. Can pay cash for one at a fraction of the down payment for the caddy.

The OP is a city boy pansy not capable of maintaining and operating such a fine machine as a 1st gen. How he's made it this long I'm not sure. So sad to see all these yuppies buying up our great trucks.

Touché.
If you are flush with cash enough to cut a check (or barter gold bullion, fiat currency, whatever) for an 80K Car, then you've lost me. Because you can surely afford to own both, including outsourcing the "headache" that is maintaining the old detroit turd. Consider me trolled, sir.

Lol. The salt water sissy who posted just before you paid me well for last weekend. I rent him out on the weekends to service tools.
And isn't the cts-v a "Detroit turd" as well or am I missing the build location.
Not quite a "headache" - though I can't get the future ex a frontal enhancement because she doesn't want the shiners that go along with those front leaf springs.

Hmmm. Simple 1st gen Dodge vs complex new sedan? I don't think I could drop that kind of cash on a 4 door ground pounder. I mean its cool that they build a 600+hp Caddie, with a back up camera, and an automatic. Hey man, if that's what you think is fun then go for it.
