This is absolutely confusing. the drawing looks like one rod between the wipers and another to the motor.

That's how it is. What's different is the length of the arm on the spindles. Both are the same find number in the parts diagram, but they are different.

The length of that arm determines the amount of travel. Longer lever, less travel.

Ok guys, the big mystery has been solved, yes there is a seperate left and right side pivot, I guess what had happened was after I had marked the sides using a sharpie, then I cleaned them off using acetone, the writing fell off.

Here they are so you can see the difference in the length of the cranks, the longer distance from the pivot gives the shorter arc across the windshield.

#4114240 R Right Side

We can file this away as usefull information.

Thank you everyone for your assistance trying to unravel this mystery.

Yep. That's how Gurus are made. One mistake at a time.

Good information to have!

Now the next step is to modify or replace the arms with a heim joint and rod and get rid of those blasted bushings that fall apart too easily.

Adding bellcranks to the list of spare parts to hunt for in a junkyard. I'd rather ruin a spare part I bought for cheap than the only ones I've got .

This is my plan as well. Pricey, but hopefully more permanent.
