Set the cab beside the other one so I can use it for layout. Made a list of items that can be tightened up and changed with the new cab. My helpers and I pulled the timing cover, they liked doing the cardboard "art work". KDP wasn't done so I'll tab that and loctite all the case bolts too.

For those that have rebuilt a 205 T case, where did you get the rebuild kit? Tough to do? Any special tools needed? I have a FSM

I got my last one from North West Fab in BC. Don't know if that is the cheapest place but they have been good to deal with. They also sell the U-bolt yokes for our trucks.

I got my kit from a seller oon E-bay. Looked for one with decent bearings, Koyo's I believe. I Couldn't find a "kit" that had Timkens.

In the thread I posted up on the 23 to 29 conversion there was a couple links to sites I used for the rebuild.

Haven't had as much time as I planned for working on this on my days off. Had a 06 common rail in the shop to do a injector swap which turned into a longer process them I planned and which required the lift so the chassis was kicked outside for a while. Did manage to get the KDP tabbed, timing cover back on and engine and trans pulled.

So I just realized your shop door seems out of place, or at least in my mind! It looks like an overhead door but it's on the outside of the wall and not the inside like any overhead door I have ever seen. What's the story on it? Or maybe it's a door to the other side of the shed your in?

good eye! Yes that is a partition wall between the shop area and cold storage area. The overhead door opens into the cold storage area

Used some oven cleaner to scrub up the engine, followed by a good pressure wash, etching primer then paint. Tomorrow the plan is to start prepping the frame for welding, might pull the box and fuel tank too.

Also does anyone have a extra clutch alignment tool they don't need? (Plastic piece that comes with a clutch kit resembling the input shaft)
