Just before I order, I want to make sure this is the cover for my D250. Anybody else buy this?

Yes it will fit, BUT its chrome and retains heat and since most of these trucks tow or similar, its a very bad idea IMO. Buy a cheap steel cover and weld some heat sink fins on it or find a good aluminum one. The dana 70 in most of these trucks are barely hanging on as it is......

I agree^. I put a mag-hytec on my rigs (except my 05) since they hold more oil and help decipate the heat better. Plus with a drain and magnetic dipstick in the pan it helps capture metal particles and shavings. Its their cost that is the hold up. Reason I don't have one on my 05. I found one at Carlisle and the guy wouldn't budge off of $230. I never paid more than $125 for a used one. Heck I bought a brand new D70 cover at Carlisle for $100. Never has been mounted!

I too have a MagHyteck rear diff cover. Had a slight leak so at the first gear oil change I pulled the cover and left the O ring in place and added a small amount of silicone to the cover and put it all back together. That was about 10 years ago and it is still dry on the outside. I do like that it has a magnetic dip stick, a drain plug and place for a fluid temp sensor.

Thanks for noticing my "modified" F16 jim5870.

Your XB-70 looks good. I like things that are different.
