Thanks Jim!
Got the 1" tubing today and got your shelf-it unit in today as well. Items I still need to get before getting the dash/console built are the steering column, a/c/heat unit and front bucket seats.
Should be getting started on the dash/console in Sept.

Gathering Interior Parts
Got quite a few things in to go towards the new interior for the crew cab.
Here are some trick tabs from RuffStuff that have a 1/4"-20 threaded bung already welded to them. They come with the screw as well. Also ordered a couple of Synergy 1" ID clamps to join the center console to the dash.
Also picked up some 4x8 Aluminum sheet for panels and some 1" x .120 wall DOM for the frame of the dash.
Then these came in today! They are out of a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie, both are full power and heated/cooled as well. Just need to fab up some brackets for the front brackets to mount to and get all the wiring figured out so everything will function.
Mocked in place in the cab.
Steering column will take 3 to 4 weeks to build so that will delay me in getting it to the fab shop to build the dash and console. Just a small set back along with still waiting on the rest of the truck to get finished from the paint shop.

Killer truck! I can't wait to see it done!!
Btw, my 6 year old looked at my comp while I was looking at your thread and he said " thats a cool monster truck Dad!" So there you have 2 generations of the King family that dig the truck!

Thanks!! I really appreciate the kudos!
I've actually spent the last couple of days in the shop putting what I could on the frame and today I started tearing down the cummins, but didn't get very far. Plan on hitting it again when I get back from work in 2 weeks.

Engine Tear Down
Since the front doors and front clip are still being painted and the weather is starting to cool down I started tearing down the engine to see what the inside looked liked. When it was running it would puff out white smoke and run real rough until it got warmed up, kinda felt like it was a leaky injector. Also it would start running hot as well, found out why when tearing down the engine. All the coolant lines going to the heater core were dry and rusty on the inside and lots of brown muddy water when I pulled the radiator/hoses.
Good news, I think, is the inside of the motor looks good. Here is what I found, tell me what ya'll think of the cylinder walls and the bottom of the head. My plan is to get the head ported/polished along with new valve springs (60 or 110#), ARP studs and put the head back on. I will install new seals while I have it a part and plan to send the IP off to get it rebuilt/modded New bigger injectors and a Hamiliton cam will be installed as well. Shooting for 400-500 rwhp after it's all said and done.
Here are the pics of the cylinder walls/pistons.
Found this by one of the freeze plugs, I don't know if it's JB weld or RTV. I think it's JB weld, because it's not real soft. Going to take a small die grinder with a sanding wheel and clean it up to see what exactly happned.
