Crossover steering on a 2wd?

After a brief search I still have no answers. My question is what would be stopping me from fabbing a xover steering setup on my d350. I want to simplify that stock setup and xover helped my 4x4 so much. I just feel like there might be a reason it's not sold as a kit. Does the independent suspension cause some kind of crazy bump steer scenario or death wobble? I'm not an engineer but it doesn't seem like it would be out of the question. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There isn't room to install the crossover on a 2wd. Even a 4wd would need 3" or so minimum lift

The wd system is pretty close to to crossover.
With a solid rod attached to both spindles it would cause some pretty wild steering in put of there own. The control arms move in a much smaller radius than the tie rod. with this going on on both sides. what a wild ride

If you want to change the steering system, and not afraid to cut and weld, maybe try fabbing up a rack and pinion steering system.

Is there a rack and pinion capable of handling a 3/4 or 1 ton truck?

Our '05 2wd 2500 has rack and pinion. I would think a 3500 would be the same.
