Was laying under the front end removing parts and needed a certain wrench...which I had just used a few minutes ago. Could not find it in my small pile of tools under the front end, so got out and was walking around the truck looking for said wrench when the axle tubes started to slide, and truck slid off the floor jack and came crashing down.

My neighbours came running out of their houses to see what had happened it hit that hard. If I had found the wrench when I was looking for it I would have been under the truck when it came down!

Guess what though....the wrench I needed was found in the exact spot I knew it was supposed to be in after the carnage....Kind of makes an unbeliever like myself wonder if there really is a higher power watching?

when my Uncle Jim moved to his property, there was an old house trailer there, which of course he wanted to use for storage. he wanted to jack it up to be able to store stuff under it. he was on one side, and I was on the other jacking and blocking. I had placed a block, larger than I needed beside me. I was working the jack, when the trailer slipped off. something on the trailer pushed me flat, and I was laying there staring up at the stars when Jim rushed over to check on me. The trailer frame would have landed on my leg, except for that large block I had put beside me for no apparent reason. No dobt in my mind a Higher Power was looking out for me.

To make a long story short. I was driving a loaded logging truck down hill In the middle of a gear change and had a focal seizure. I am still here and so are the people in the two cars in the opposite lane coming up the hill. I am a believer.

Was coming home from work about 2 months ago. Midnight. Rainy. A wreck had just happened. I slowed and was pulling over to check on the victims. The side road I was pulling into was covered in car parts and there were people all around, so I was trying to avoid hitting something or someone. I happened to look up in the mirror. Headlights closing fast. I yanked the wheel to the right, but was barely rolling by this time. Got hit hard and shoved about 25 ft across the road I was pulling into. My 99 Trans Am was destroyed. I climbed out my window and stood there, lamenting one of my favorite DDs I had ever owned, thankful I was alive. The guy was probably doing 50 when he hit me. Says he didn't see me. Later, that night, I was watching the dashcam video from my car, when I seen something incredible. Just ahead of my car as I slowed, one of the other drivers (a coworker) had stepped from their truck and was standing beside it on the phone with 911 (truck was sitting in the lane of the main road) as I pulled over in front of them. Two seconds later, I was hit. This gave them just enough time to jump out of the way. If the guy that hit me couldn't see a fully illuminated set of taillights that were 5 ft wide, he definitely would have never seen a dark blue truck, all lights knocked out, sitting in the road. He would have killed this guy. Vehicles are replaceable. People aren't

I believe.

We were technically homeless for about 3 days....we had to be out of our old house on July 8th at 11am, and didn't take possession of the new home until July 10th at 6pm.

Day we moved in...unloading patches.....

I wrestled the plow out, then had my daughter help me move it across the yard.....

And just after this I broke 2 fingers. Did it while doing pull-ups on the big I-beam in the garage. Had a crooked grip, started to pull up and heard "crack, crack, crunch" and fell to the floor. What sucked even more was I was starting my new job the next day. Had to work with broken fingers for the next 3 months.....they have finally healed up to about 95% now.

When we got the place the long drive way...about 400 feet long....had been neglected. The brush had been allowed to over grow until it looked like an old logging road. So patches and I cleared it....with broken fingers no less....

After getting up here I discovered that you can not rent car trailers. Down on the coast I could rent them from several places, so never had the need for my own. Well I had to buy a car trailer.

I found a place that sells Canadian built units for killer deals. I got a 2016, with a GVW of 10K lbs. Here is my first load on the trailer.

1991 Craftsman lawn tractor, with a 46" cutting deck, and a 2 stage snowblower attachment. Needed a bit of love after sitting neglected for a few years, but nothing I couldn't handle. Works great!

We were looking for a puppy as soon as we got up here. But big dogs were tough to find. Finally got one though. She is a Mastiff and St Bernard cross, and her name is Maggie.

Day we brought her home, 8 weeks old. She was the smallest in the litter, but the only one in the faun colouring.

Next I had to come down to the coast to take my daughter to her orthodontist, and pick up Sno-ball. I had it parked at my friends house/old neighbour.

Saw this on the way down. I pulled into Cache Creek for fuel, and this guy pulled in right after me.

Guy was form Idaho, and Truck was an 85 with 93 running gear I believe. He was on his was to Alaska and had built the truck special for the trip. We BS'd for a while, snapped a few pics of each others trucks, and went our ways.

Snow-ball all loaded up....

Made the trip with no issues other then I lost another BFG. Had the tread start to separate down the center of the RH rear tire, but still made it all the way home on that tire. That was the second tire to go like that in just over 2 months.
