brakes(?) suddenly squeaking

So, I went and paid a (corporate) place to re do my rear bearings. Driving home, I'm suddenly aware of that squeak that did just happen every so often is now so constant my lovely wife is ready to kill me, and I her.

it's tied to the brakes. when I step on them, it stops. if it's not doing it for a second, if I turn left, it seems to start again. probably turning at all, but seemed more consistent when going left.

"maybe the bearings just need to settle in" I think, like an idiot.

nope. so I take it back and say, "hey, I think you put something together wrong, it's really squeaking". To their credit, they spend 3 hours, check stuff, drive around with a guy running alongside... and declare its coming from the front, which I grudgingly agree. They say they can tell the brakes are heating up, and "hey, it's a heavy truck. you live in the hills". and hand me back my keys.

I had the front brake pads replaced 4000 miles ago. The material (pads) is brand new. suddenly, this squeak seems constant?

so, wth? did they do something? did fixing the bearings somehow loosen up the front, so now the squeak is on full force?

what can I do to get the squeak to go away?

Any chance of getting a vid recording of the offending noise?

I know sometimes brake dust can build up and cause squeaks and such. Maybe blast the front wheels and brakes with a pressure washer to clean things up.

X2 has happened to me on numerous rigs over the years.

Strange how you fix something on one end and something completely unrelated on the other end acts up.

Happens all the time though.

Could be a bent dust shield or a wayward wear indicator, cheap brake pads, Or a something tossed up there by a tire.

Could be lots of things.
These trucks like to spit out the anti-squeal plates behind the pads.
The caliper's will roll the seal and stick. Usually causes noticeable overheat.
The caliper rails get wear spots in them that need to be filed out or even welded and machined.
Dust build up.
Hard spots in the rotors, cheap metal problem.
and on and on ad nauseum.
