The few times I've messed with that power screw, I've had to readjust my idle everytime.
Just a couple of months ago, I backed that power screw 1.5 turns, and my idle went from 775 down to around 600. Thought the truck was going to crap out and die at an intersection. Had to keep fluttering on the pedal so I wouldn't stall.

The idle stop screw is on top of the pump conveniently located between the head and the AFC. once you get the lock nut loose You can turn it with a curved dentist pick. At least that works for me.

Conveniently. Yea right. It when u idle down does that give u more room to turn up fuel. I only got one full turn. 1 1/2 turns got me to runaway. So I backed it out a half turn
