Boost pressures

I changed the gaskets on the air horn yesterday. This morning I notced that at wide open throttle the boost hit 20psi. I have the hx35 turbo and the injection pump is not turned up. My guestion is if the is typical boost psi. Also notice that the egts were way down. I believe the gasket had been leaking a while and finally blew on the test drive after I fixed the fuseable link.

Sounds about right for a pump that hasn't been turned up.

What kinda of boost should I expect after I turn up the he pump. Also. It seems the events went down after the new gaskets Would that be a sign of a leak before

With the right conditions I have seen 30 PSI with my tiny little baby H1c but only for a second.
My full power screw is one and a half turns in, my stock fuel pin is turned to the deep side and my AFC is flush with the top of the lock screw.
This was before my Build started. the stuff in my signature is new.

I would bet your gaskets had been leaking for a while until it got loud enough to hear.

Thanks. I also just discovered that it blew out the new air horn gasket. The guy previous ouwner made it and I noticed that the palate is warped from welding I'll be making a new one this week at work. Gonna post a pic soon but know I didn't make it.

Got. Y parts n yesterday and put on. This is way better than what I had. Claims it will reduce the egts by 100 degrees. I won't know cause I turned up the pump at the same time. I turned it up 1 1/2 turns. I haven't idled it back down yet. But after I drove it to the store and back. As I got out of it I reved it up and it hung. Not really a run away but I had to turn the key off to get it to shut down. I then backed it of 1/2 turn. Reved it again and it didn't hang up. 1 complete turn does not seem like a lot. I read it should be closer to 2 full turns. Need a little help understanding

Also noticed I know get 30 psi on a he boost gauge pretty quick

That looks good. That answers some questions as mine is still gaining shelf miles

I have my power screw at 1 1/2 turns in the tiny stock turbo couldn't keep up with it at 2 turns. I didn't have any problems with the throttle hanging.
Was there a cover and a collar on the screw? If not somebody has already been there.

The quick spool is the HX35's 12cm turbine housing.
