There has been a debate for years on Felpro vs Cummins. Both groups have had early failures and zero problems.
In all honestly I think what really matters is how good of a job you prep the surfaces.

I researched this a lot, and the good Felpro gasket is pretty much identical to the Cummins one for a lot less. I am running the Felpro with 40 lbs and studs, 18K miles on it so far, zero issues.
I agree with peckens, the prep is everything.

I did have a Felpro gasket fail in a somewhat short amount of time. When we installed it we took a long time cleaning and prepping the surfaces. Maybe something got overlooked, but it didnt last long.
I went with a Cummins HG this time. The Cummins HG alone costed more than the entire top end gasket kit from Felpro sadly. This was my only bad experience with Felpro.
Heres my failed Felpro next to the new Cummins HG

There were two different Felpro HG's for a while. The newer one looks identical to the Cummins gasket and I heard, but cannot confirm that they are made at the same factory.

That doesn't look "pretty much identical" to me.

That does looks very similar.
Are there two qualities of Fel-pro gaskets you can buy?

That is great info on the part #s, as the two pictures off the Fel-pro gaskets look pretty different.
The one you have in your side by side picture looks the same as the Cummins gasket.
Thanks.
Ya see it is not all just "hate"on this forum tonight

Looking it up on that site, it looks like they have 3 different thickness improved (good) and 1 old design. (bad)
The street price isn't much different. between 9332pt and 9313pt (same thickness)
