Air Lift 5000 rear air bags
Our trucks take this air bag kit. I just installed one in my friends F250. I have one in my toyota.

Anyone ever put one in our trucks ? Any issue with bolts and interference behind inside the c Channel ? Dislikes?
Not crazy about drilling 4 holes in my frame. Maybe I'll develop a mounting plate and weld their mounting plate to my plate, and bolt mine in.
What's your experiences with them in your Dodge ? So far, they've improved all the vehicles ride that I've put them in.

You could run into issues if you try to put a plate in between our bracket and your frame, especially if you run oversize tires. It could put the bag too close to the tire which could cause damage to the bag.

I have this setup on my truck. Being a 91 there were plenty of holes in the frame to choose from with out drilling. I used to haul a fairly heavy GN trailer so I cut some 3/4" steel plate I had to fit inside the frame rail. I drilled and tapped the plate so I did not need nuts on the inside of the frame. That's what I did but not how I would do it again. Instead of using the bracket that comes with the kit that locates the bag outside the frame and over the spring I would make a bracket that puts the bag directly under the frame and onto the axle beside the spring. The reason for this is that tire chains get pretty close to the airbag and that's with a stock LT235/85R16 tire. Yes my hind site is 20/20.

I'll have to do some measuring...
