After Market exhaust tips- need some ideas

Hey,all. Trying to get some ideas on cosmetic stuff and was wondering if you all with aftermarket exhaust tips could post up some pics of what you have so I could get some ideas. I am caught between a straight down discharge( which I was going to clock at an angle so it discharged at a slight horizontal angle vs straight down) or get a slash tip. Regardless, it would have to be a 4" to 5" tapered exit. The last 20" or so of my 4" stans exhaust comes out at a slight angle towards 4:00 and I am bored with that look. So, open to some suggestions. Hopefully you all have pics

Turndowns at least put the smoke on the ground where it will eventually be anyway.

True that. The one I'm looking at goes from 4-5" and is 20" in length. Mounted it will not be horizontal but at about a 30 degree slanted down. That's why I was thinking of clocking the turndown portion sideways . Don't know how that'll end up looking vs a mitre cut slash tip that would aim down 30 degrees

To me 4"does the job well. 5"downpipe could be a little tight and the gain of the horsepower is slim or none. Any racing exhaustsystem in 4" range is ok.

I cut up part of my dads old 7.3 4 inch system and have it coming down at a slight angle right after the front of the gas tank, and then a 45 degree piece that I positioned to go slightly down but also out, so diagonally? I guess lol, thats the best I can describe it. No tip, just 4 inches. Keeps it nice and punchy sounding, plus it looks a little ratty which is the look I'm going for

She's messy right now but when it's all polished up it looks rad.

I would like to have a 6" flat black exhaust pipe exit a hole in my passenger fender pointing slightly downwards.

Only inches from the turbo, should sound nice.

A wheelwell exit would be nice until the turbo blew oil.

So how do I remove the tip portion of my aftermarket exhaust that I installed back in 2008? It was put together using the u-bolt style exhaust clamps. Any tips?

Remove the clamp, heat up the outside one quickly, and drive it off. If I'm discarding parts, I just cut them off with a small cutting torch. (Not a place for practice, experience counts.) Then use an exhaust pipe expander to smooth out the wrinkles on the parts you want to save. Go easy if it's the inside one. You don't want to expand it, just straighten it.

OH boy one of my favorite tasks.(SIC)
I use a Small cutoff wheel in a die grinder.( a drill motor would work in a pinch) and cut a couple slots almost through the overlapping part of the joint.

P.S. use band clamps from now on you will like them. You can make
adjustments after the part has been installed.
