93 d250. Lack of power towing

New here so still trying to figure out the site. The problem I have is when towing my 5th wheel it has no power lucky to get 50 mph out of it . Lord forbid if I hit a hill. Always have to keep pedal to the floor feels like I'm dragging an anchor. Noticed also my abs n brake light comes on. Then brake light goes off but abs light stays on. Trailer weight is only 7800.I also noticed at higher speed my temp gauge runs over the halfway mark ,but at city speeds it runs way under the halfway mark. Seems backwards to me . Any help, ideas or sledge hammers. Thanks

We need some info on your set-up....fill out your signature with how your truck is built, and any modifications you have made.

When is the last time you changed the fuel filter?

Nothing has been done to the truck. It's still like from factory. No updated spring or fuel pin. The fuel filter was just replaced with a fleet filter. It almost feels like the brakes are hanging.

truck is still factory. No updated fuel pin or spring. New fuel filter. Trans was service no issues found at trans. It almost feels like the rear brakes are not releasing fully. Only way I can keep it going is apply as much foot thru the floorboard.lol

What year truck transmission 2 or 4wheel drive etc. I am guessing it has the lagmaster 21 cm turbine housing.

What year? they are not all the same. The 21 cm turbine was factory stock on some 91.5 trucks.

First thing, make sure you are achieving wide open throttle at the pump. Have seen a lot, due to wear or misadjustment that aren't. Have a helper slowly push the throttle pedal to the floor while you watch under the hood. Make sure that the throttle lever on the pump goes from the idle stop, all the way to the max throttle stop.
