92 w150 convert to Cummins?

92 w150 4wd truck and I have a 93 d250 2wd Cummins that is wrecked. Would it be a big deal to put Cummins in w150? Would transfer case work. Both are automatic

The 1/2 front Dana 44 axle will be a weak link with the weight of a Cummins over it.
The 1/2 ton aluminum T-case will not work well with a Cummins.
The 1/2 4x4 auto transmission will not work with a Cummins.

You would do better to swap the Cummins parts into a D250/350 or W250/350 with a Dana 60 front end as some W-250s come with Dana 44s which will still be a weak link.

The structural thickness, and height (depending on the years) of the truck's frame will be much less if used in a 150 chassis.

There's a thread that describes this issue which Oliver has since purchased the ram charger previously called "moonshine". If you use the cummins in a 1/2 ton frame, you're risking the failure of the frame connectors from the excessive weight of that engine being placed there. Think of it as having a 8' western snow plow on the front of the truck.... all of the time. Cracked frames where the PS gear is mounted is a common issue with our trucks, and I can only imagine a "thinner" thickness frame material would crack faster.

Yes, it's been done before (using a 1/2 ton frame), but I personally wouldn't do it. Not worth the risk, IMO.

Good luck, and post pix of whatever you decide to take on.
