87 w250 gasser to cummins swap

Hey guys, new to the forum. Just bought an old '87 w250 GAS. I'm planning on swapping a 12v into it sometime soon and have some questions. I'm going to get rid of most of the driveline, if not all of it. Pretty sure the transmission wont bolt up and the axles cant handle the power of the cummins. What parts do I need to keep from the gas engine and what parts I can get rid of? What all will I have to change besides engine mounts? How hard will putting in all the wiring be? Sorry for all the questions Shes all taken apart right now because im getting ready to pull the motor, tranny, and t case out to sell.

Thanks in advance

well good thing is 81 to 93 are same body lines .So the nice thing is everything swap's Over a gas dana 60 will work just fine in front the only difference is gas has smaller yoke .a D44 won't survive very long at all. if you have a 205 Keep it as it's the same thing as a diesel and just like front axle it has a smaller Yoke for drive Line also .

My d60 is in the rear. Is it possible to swap brakes to disk and make all the steering components work if I move the axle to the front?

Nope. You will have to get one that was built for the front. the best way is to get a Cummins donor truck.

You may be able to sell the 44 to recoup some parts money.

Not sure on a standard cab, but I wish I had made a bit more room for everything with a 1" body lift. Happy swapping.
