Intercooler boot

Well while looking around under my truck while changing the oil, i found that the intercooler boot going into the intercooler on the pasenger side as been rubing on a sharp edge on the fender. :'( It has a cut in it but im not sure if it has gone all the way through. So where is the best place to get a new boot and what size is it. Do i just go get one from the dorf ******* or what? Any help is greatly appreciated. Chris

Re:Intercooler boot

Same thing happened to mine, but I have not replaced it yet. I heard dealer price was about 75$. It is to bad that the silicone replacement hoses do not include this hose, I would like to upgrade.

Re:Intercooler boot

Any hose supplier should stock the size you need in silicone hose. I recently bought new boots for my whole system. I think for 4 boots 3" in diameter and 4" long they were 30 bucks. They just cut the length I needed. Just be sure and tell them you need it as turbo and intercooler boots so they can get you the right strength. You may want to measure the diameter of yours, I think they are bigger on the 2nd gens.
