Question fuel leak

I have a 96 Cummings-96.000 mi. About 6 months ago, while driving- my fuel filter came loose, and dumped 30 gallons of fuel. The dealer replaced the filter, telling me the problem was the after-market filter came loose due to the engine vibration Prime-loc remote fuel filter system,
I now have fuel leaking (just a little) at the bottom of the filter. There appears to be some kind of plastic plug, not sure because its on the bottom of the filter. Is this going to start an engine fire ?
I plan to take it to my mechanic monday, but is it safe to drive ?

First off, the vibration did not cause the filter to come loose, whoever put it on wrong caused it. That's water behind the bridge though.

What you have leaking is your water in fuel sensor, might just be loose, or it might be cracked, either way not a big deal, nor should you burn the thing down by using it sparingly.

Don't let the mechanic bamboozle you either, here is the part you need, shouldn't take more than 3 minutes to change it either.......

Fleetguard 3831852S Water In Fuel Sensor at DieselManor

( Lots of other places to buy from, this was just the first one I found )

ps...I agree, and was questioning the explanation of the dealer, re the filter just coming loose..cant trust most of those repair places.
