FUel issue?? starts hard missies white smoke then runs fine
Have an 97 12v and recently sometimes it starts hard, runs very rough, lots of smoke, gray, after 30 seconds starts to run good. Once in a great while after running it will start to miss, I get rpms up for 10 seconds and the its ok. Plan to change fuel filter. whats the best way to test the 2 low psi fuel pumps?
Looks like the problem will slowly get worse so looking for advice on narrowing the problem down.

Bet you have cracked hose or rusted line............
Easiest is to just get a tapped banjo bolt from a place like Genos and check it at the inlet of the Injection pump.
You should only have 1 low pressure transfer pump though.
