Are the engines in our trucks used in its current form in any other applications? tractor, etc?

Yes, LOTS of other applications such as, frieghtliner, bread trucks, tractors,generators, etc. Ive got a 1987 case 855D loader with a B5.9l 12v. 90HP! Makes ya wonder. -Jake

the company I work for sells school buses and alot of the 89 to early 98 used the 12 valve then the ISB now CAT C7

I drive a spotter truck at work it has the 12v cummins in it .........

Whenever I want a cummins fix I just go out and move a few trailors some times when the trailor brakes are froze up I just floor it and I get plunty of smoke pretty soon after I fill the lot with smoke the brakes break free then Im I got busted once and the boss was I just and finished the job when I went in side he was and he said he hopes I dont drive my truck like that.

Cummins still sells them - i believe there is a 370 HP marine version......but they are not available for use in North America

They use 370 marine engines in high end boats out here on the coast

I seen a spray coupe the other day with one in it. A friend a few years ago had one in a skid steer loader. I would be afraid to guess how many different applications there are to these engines

My dad has a construction company and they just bought 5 new kawasaki front end loaders. They all have the 12V 5.9 Cummins. My dad likes them becuase the fuel economy is great! The only complaint my dad has is the front loaders don't weight enough.

He is currently in the process to turn all the company trucks into dodge diesels. Allready traded off three gassers for three dodge diesels. Wonder if he will let me bomb them when I get back home?
