arp flywheel bolts questions

The SBCs that I install say to locktite the the flywheel bolts and torque them down.
Using any sort of lube does not sound right to me.

The idea of the lube is to get an accurate torque reading, thus proper fastener stretch ("pre-load"). From ARP's page on their Ultra-Torque lube: "... ARP provides torque specs for our fasteners based on using ARP Ultra-Torque. If you're not using our specs and our lube, you have no real idea what pre-load you're getting..."
In other words, if you want to be sure you correctly torqued the bolts to their specs (you are using their torque specs, aren't you?), then you must use their lube... Thread-lock isn't really necessary if you properly and accurately torque the bolts. Do you use threadlock on head bolts?

Finally found the right link on arp's website it say to use loctite 242 on the threads and use the supplied lube under the head of the bolt and torque to 120ft lbs. In three steps. Couldn't find it on my phone but found it on the computer.
