'96 12 valve auto trans holds 2nd to 3rd shift

I just recently bought a '96 12 valve dually with a remanufactured auto trans and it holds the 2nd to 3rd gear shift unless I let off to a lower rpm and then it catches and seems to shift sort of quick from 3rd to 4th. What could be causing this?

Hang in there, help will be here.

I would say check the TV cable adjustment, but I'm not a trans guy.

First check the throttle valve cable adjustment. After that I'd replace the govenor solenoid and the transducer together. If this doesn't fix it then it's an internal problem.

Thanks AJ!

Louie, take AJ's advice to the bank, he is a long time Chrysler trans guy.........

BTW, also check for codes, with a recently remanned trans it is possibly an unresolved wiring issue as well.

Solenoid and Transducer are inside valve body, not hard to change but messy.

Lets see how this works for showing TV adjustment and operation.

See how that works for you, if you cant read the first one let me know and I can break it up.
