Wiper Fluid will not spray

I noticed this when I first bought my truck. I got the truck home and tried the wiper spray. Nothing. I filled the tank for the fluid and still nothing. I'm not entirely sure on where to start, but does anyone have tips on what to look for or common issues? Nothing at all comes out, it doesnt even make an effort.

Check the electical plug on the bottom of the bottle. Also check the hose coming from the bottle. Maybe broken somewhere?

If the pump is running, pull a hose off and see if you have flow. The nozzles plug up with calcium sometimes. If that's it you can run a small wire into the nozzle or use vinegar to disolve it.

check and make sure your pump is working first then on to the nozzles. not much really to be screwed up in that system

hi
i had same problem when i got mine .

make sure the pump runs , then follow the hose from pump to where it connects to split to feed both nozzles . unhook it here and test for flow there .

i had the hoses from split to nozzles cloged tight with somthin i aint never seen ?

hoses are under the plastic thin at bottom of windshield , pry up and the plastic plug holder things pop out and you can get in there to work on the hoses .
had to run a wire in mine to loosen junk then blew them out with high psi air .
flushed with fluid from washer pump and reconected , all good now !

The hose to mine was loose from one of the lines to the nozzle under the plastic thing when I bought it, pulled the thing, plugged it back in, andit works great now.

Wiper Linkage...

I just thought I would throw this in here...

I had a '01 Ram 1500 and my washer fluid seemed to be losing pressure over time. After a while it was just a trickle... barely touched the glass!

After checking the pump and the visible lines I finally found the problem. I lifted the plastic cover at the bottom of the windshield and found that the tube on the driver's side had been rubbing on the wiper mechanism. The decreasing pressure was actually the increasing size of the hole it had made in the tube.

Patched it up and tied it off to the firewall... no more problems!

Dave
