White smoke on start up - solved

Temp has been in the low 20s at night. The truck was having a difficult time starting & would blow white smoke while it rough idled during warm up. After a little checking I found no power going to the grid heaters. Hmmm...A little more checking and I found the grid wire at the battery disconnected and stored under the battery. Apparently the shop didn't bother to reconnect after the AirDog install. Time for a new mechanic?

everybody makes mistakes. It's finding somebody who give a crap.

I had the same problem with mine last year, it was bad connection on the heating grid.

I like the people but apparently the help doesn't do as good a job as the owner. They have omitted a few other things and charge top dollar. Can't have it both ways - high charge AND then I have to correct their error.
