Which Tonneau Cover Should I Buy?
I've narrowed it down I think??
I'm looking at the Truxedo lowprofile http://www.truxedo.com/index.html
and the Access Cover http://www.access-cover.com/
The Truxedo is much cheaper and it appears that the quality and design is better. Anyone using any of these? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Geets

I personally like the Truxedo over the other one. I've heard that name bantered around here before. I don't have either one, but I'm sure someone would let you in on how they feel about theirs.

I used a Luxus tonneau for years and was very satisfied with the way it held up to feet of snow piled on it as well as the summer sun. They were bought out by Lund several years ago, but the materials used still remain the same. Another good cover is Extang.

Re:Which Tonneau Cover Should I Buy?
I have a Access-Cover Limited Edition and wouldn't use anything else. I can't speak of the Truxedo, I have never had one. This is my second Access Cover. We have a 01 F150 and have had an Access Cover on that truck since new in 2000, still looks great and functions as new. I got the Limited Edition cover on the 03 Ram because you get the black siderails and bows and a little different locking mechanism, and some interior D-Rings for tie downs under the cover.
I lived in Minnesota, cold & hot temp. variations, with the first cover for 2 1/2 years with no problems as far as shrinking, these covers have adjustment ***** at the front of the cover. These covers are made in Jamestown, ND where I know it gets and stays very cold for months.
I ordered my currrent cover from The Tonnocover Store, I believe their web address is thetonnocoverstore.com, they are also in Jamestown, ND. They had an online discount code and including shipping I paid $444.62 and had the cover in about 4 days. That was the best online price I could find for the Limited Edition, and was about the same price quoted locally for the standard cover.
A bit of advise, if you purchase a Access Cover, don't clean it with anything that has silicates. I use only 303 Cleaner and 303 Protectant on mine and they both look great.
Hope this helps, Good Luck.
Take a look in my gallery for photos of the Access Cover Ltd. on my truck, https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/....php?album=372

Re:Which Tonneau Cover Should I Buy?
I have the Sportmaster-hinged cover on the back of my truck. I have had three different ones on the three trucks I have owned and have been very pleased. I like the idea of having something easy to remove on the back and it is also very accessible to get into by having the gas shocks lift the cover up. I don't have to crawl on my belly to get to the back of the cab.

Put an access cover on my 03 Hemi shortbox--was very nice. When I got the 03 Cummins longbox was going to put the truxedo on-it was cheaper, not by much though. Dealer did not have one in stock but did have an access cover for the longbox so I went with it as I wanted it done that day. Very happy with the access cover again--guess availability made my decision for me . Truxedo rails slant in a bit and a slightly different closing latch. The access cover rails are vertical and it can be opened a couple of ways. With the lock on the access cover and a pop-lock you can secure your bed area somewhat. Just my experience FWIW

I will put in another vote for the Access cover . This is my second one and could not be happier ;D. In one short year, it has seen everything from the sub-zero temperatures and snow of Christmas in central Ontario to the daily heat and humidity of Florida and I have never had to readjust it after the initial installation.
