Want to make around 500hp need help?

I am currently in Afganistan saving my money drop a couple thousand or more on aftermarket accessories for my 99 auto 4x4. I was going to sell it for a first gen but since nobody wants to pay 5bucks a gallon for fuel and she isnt worth a whole lot anyway thought I would keep her. I would like to make around 500hp and just wanted to know what I was looking on dropping cash wise and how to build. I know that gauges are first then air intake and exhaust. Any help would be appriciated that way when I see a good deal on a performance upgrade I can buy and when I get home start to build!

bigger turbo, injectors, and a box...........and ofcourse the given intake/exhaust. maybe studs if you are pushing a lot of boost. all this power will be no good if you dont have a good tranny to lay it down.

Your STOCK auto trans is toast at 300hp. Your probably looking at a aftermarket trans, $3k -$4k.

would it cost around the same to put in a used nv4500 and a dual disc clutch? I heard that smartys are good programmers what about injectors? I have heard good things about the edge jammers but dont want to spend an arm and a leg. What kind of turbo? It will still be my daily driver so I want it to perfom good on the road just want the power for fun and the occasional drag.

You will need to get the tranny taken care of first. The auto guys can help you there. A manual conversion will cost about the same as a manual swap. I would then get a good fuel supply flowing, either Airdog or Fass. Then a set of 150hp injectors, Arenaline with Pulse & a 62/71/13ss turbo will get you 500hp.

If you race, stick with the auto.
