Want absolutely the loudest exhaust!

Hi, My ram still has the factory 3" straight pipe, I want to upgrade to a larger exhaust. I am debating to get 4" or 5", I want the absulute loudest I can get all around, idle, normal, and WOT, I want it louder that the factory 3", just need to know what size is the most loud and the best brand to get.

I helped a friend of mine straight pipe his 06 yesterday, and it is by far louder than my 3" with the factory 4", so now im jealous, cause im addicted to the cummins straight pipe sound

4" from the turbo back ought to be loud enough to need ear plugs. or just get stacks. may i ask why you want it obnoxiously loud?

I guess its just me, funny, my truck cant be loud enough, but my 660 Raptor has stock exhaust, and I dont want to upgrade, cause I dont want it to be loud.

I read mixed answers on another post, which didnt answer directly about 4" and 5" and which one is louder. Thats why I just want to hear from people who know which is louder between the two and what brand.

You want loud and obnoxious? Cut it off under the cab and run a turndown off of that Mine was like that for about a week.

I hear people saying that 5" will be quieter than 4" but will be deeper, other say 5" is way louder tha 4", that is where I am confused and need some answers.

I think that 4" is probably louder , i have a full 5" system ( i am running a straight through muffler) and it is quieter than my stock system straight piped:

Video: (the sound on the camera goes funky every time the tranny shifts , and does not do the truck justice)

If you have a 3 inch straight pipe then thats as loud as it gets. 4 inch and 5 inch just get deeper, but are probably about the same as far as how loud it is.

I tend to agree with Eric, the smaller pipe will keep exhaust at a higher velocity..

I'd say A 4" exhaust strait piped would be great. I had mine a 4" strait pipe and now have the into 6" stacks. Befor with just the 4" I could be heard about a half mile away on a noisy flight line coming onto base. now with the stacks, they don't hear me untill I'm a little closer. I thinks it more of a deep tone with the 6". seems about the same to me in the cab, just deeper tone with the 6" stacks.
