Walbro Fuel psi ???

I installed a custom 392 kit, and have a fleetgard fuel strainer before the walbro. I am at 20 psi at idle, and 16 at WOT. Every once in a while after around 1/2 throttle, it will stick to 16 psi. I can once in a while get it to go to 20 psi by romping on it, but once in a while it will stick there. After letting the truck sit for a while it will return to 20 psi at idle. What would be the cause of this (plugged strainer??)

Just everyday variations is all, heavy foot using more fuel, more demand on teh pump, temp.outside, etc.... Mine fluctuates from about 17-20PSI for alomst a year now since new.

Mine is usually 20 psi , then 16 at wot, and then rises back to the 20, but sometimes it will stick to the 16 psi. It will stay at 16 psi at idle (both the commander and the fuel mounted guage verify this). I'll let it sit for about 45 min to an hour and start it again, and it will read back at 20 psi at idle.
