a 72 and 66 would not work well together. You looking to tow, daily drive/ toy, or race?
I have a stock hx35 which is something like 56mm and a ht3b which is about 76mm. Twins we talk about are actually called compound turbos, the small one lights fast and the large one takes over and moves volume.

well i just figured out that they are a 71 and a 65 garret turbos... i was thinking about daily drive/ toy just for something that has the power when i want it. The kid wants to sell me the two turbos for 150 for both turbos would that be a good deal and how much would the pipes/tubes be to connect them and could i make them myself? I dont know too much about them so im just tryin to gain some knowledge.

150 what . that is cheap so whats wrong with the turbos. sounds odd for that price. you can talk to these guys they have all parts and pieces to build your own kits. www.sourceautomotive.biz
this should get you in some direction on what your really looking at for $ and yes I would recommend on a big single or twins to get your head studs atleast. also more air you need some more fuel. good injectors and a box.

If you have a welder I would look to spend $250 on flanges and piping. This setup will not run well as a daily driver if you are currently running a stock turbo. Fill out your signature so we know what youre driving.

Are you sure they are two different turbos or is it a 65/71 turbo? 65 being the size of the inducer and 71 being the size of the turbine.

hmm... the 65 would be laggy as heck as the secondary in a street setup. The 71 would work for quick spooling towing twins with a hx35 as the secondary If the turbos work well, I would get the 71mm charger for a primary.

well i asked him earlier and he said they are two different turbos... do you think i could get the 71 and make it a compound with my turbo right now? or just use the 71 on my truck by itself? Im not sure of the best setup power wise.

yea the 71 under your stocker should work well in a compound setup.

I dont know what flange is on the garrett turbo but you might have to modify a hotpipe to get it to fit right, then again it might bolt up to a s400 style flange.

I don't see you being happy with a 71mm turbo on 100 hp injectors. 71mm turbo would be good for 800+ hp. The 65mm would even be a stretch for your fueling.
