Turbo Housing Question

I just discovered today that one of the exhaust housings off of a 4bt we are parting out is a 16cm housing. Would that fit on the stock turbo that is on a 1st gen? I'm planning on installing an intercooler soon and was wondering how much turbo lag that was going to add charging up all that extra tubing and how much boost drop i might have. I didn't know if it would be worth saving this housing to put on my truck??? I've got and 18.5 housing on the truck now.

16 would provide some spool improvement, but not really worth the work, IMO. If you're not going to a 12 w/g (my personal recomendation) then leave well enough alone.

I disagree. I noticed a significant difference going from an 18.5 housing to a ported 16 housing. It brought the boost up 5 to 10 PSI.

I agree here also... Not worth the money, if its free, sell it to somebody with a 21cm.

It will work pretty good with the stock injectors. Don't pay much money for it though, you will outgrow it quickly if you add more fuel.

Not plannin on runnin any more than stock injectors. It's got to be able to tow over 10k when i need it too without burnin up.
