TORQUE CONVERTER BOLT???? missing???

Last Wednesday took my truck to the dealer for upgrade flash. I also mentioned that the truck seems to have minor vibration and stutters between 5th and 6th gear, when speeds are between 45 and 55 mph.

Later that day the service guy called and said got the flash done, but, found that a torque converter bolt was missing. The dealer had to order the bolt as they didn't have one. I start thinking, if a torque converter bolt came loose it should be laying in the inspection plate, and if they had to order one, it must be (the bolt) mutilated. I called the service guy back and he said there was no bolt, and said the truck came from the factory without it.

Has anyone else had a similar problem. The truck is and 08 with 22,000 miles. This is a great truck and I am very satisified with the overall performance.

Wow, 22K miles without finding this and it was missing the whole time? Good thing you have it on record!

Never put on @ the factory, is my guess because it just cant disappear. And once in the inspection pan nothing can come in contact with it. On our race cars we don't run the pans so we can inspect all the time.
