Tires for the Hot Shotters?

Was wondering what tires the hot shot guys are running on their duallies with the stock 17" rims? I have the BFG ATs on mine now and they are wearing quick! I am pulling our trailer much more that I anticipated when I put these tires on there and need to find something that is going to last.

I know the 19.5s are the way to go but those are not in the budget right now. Hope to find something thats going to last longer than the 35k that I am going to get out of these. Thanks fellas!

Toyo M55's They don't look pretty, but they get the job done. Use them for the winter if your doing lots of back road driving.
If you are doing lots of highway driving then the Toyo all terrains are decent.

I don't personally Run Hotshot, (trying to get into the business but runnig into road blocks), but I do run oilfield trucks and pay attentition to what the other guys are running.

When I was hotshotting I had excellent longevity with General Ameritrac tires. Not the greatest traction on ice and snow, good on wet and average noise but I put 70,000 miles on them before a change was needed

no thats an rv transporter. hot shotters haul freight on their own trailers or bobtail. it originated out of the oilfield for when they needed something on the jobsite in a hurry

Don't do the Toyo AT's I will be lucky to get 30k out of mine. Balanced and rotated every 5k. On the plus side they do work well in the snow and ice.

I've got 50k on my wrangler silent armors (pro grade) E tires.... work great. Still look new. Plenty of tread left. I'd look at them.

Best Mileage I ver got out of set of tires on a 3/4 truck was the factory BFG's that came with it.

Ran them to 70,000 miles.

I went to Pirelli Scorpions after that and they were shot at 30,000 miles so I switched back to the BFG's.

I know you said 19.5s aren't in the budget. but you should take a hard look at them for cost effectiveness over the long run.

all our service trucks at work are F450s with 19.5s. I'll put a vote in for goodyear G622 in the 225 or 245/70r19.5 G14 load. they are very good all around traction tire. winter grip, off road grip.

our oldest truck has them on with 110,000kms on the rears and theres lots of life left.

I see your in GP.....we run detroit field service to the patch through out alberta so thats what kind of service our trucks see.

I got over 98,000 out of the original Goodyears on my '04 3500 . Rotated them every 6,000 miles . That included running in a lot of snow including the big storm in '05 that shut down I-64 in Indiana .

I have cooper ATR's stock size, they wer about 190 each. They came with a 45k mile warranty. My first set only got 13k and the warranty covered them except for 42 per tire. And the warranty starts back over. I got all 4 back one's replaced and put on for 200. Not that the mileage is anything like what you guys have seen but I thought that was a good price. I tend to have a heavy foot and tow about 23-24k GCW. Most of my towing isn't highway but mountains from pa to and thru wv.

I ran Firestone Transforce A/Ts and never had a problem, ran 130,000 miles coast to coast and loved them.
