Tire shopping

Looking for tires for the 93 w-250, currently running Lt 235/85 R 16's and want a little taller but not much wider. Looking at the Hercules Trail Digger M/T, no lift, any advise appreciated, oh yea, don't want to spend 400.00 a tire.

I love my hankook dyno pro m/t's. Hard as nails not very loud and handle mud well. Not sure how much I paid but I remember them being sub 200$ each.

I'd recommend BFG Mud Terrain T/A KM2 in 255/85R16 if you are looking for a tall skinny mudder. Not too spendy either. Pulltilbroke is running this on his rig but in the 17" rim flavor. Listed as a 33.3" tall tire that will fit nicely on a 7" wide rim. Ford/Accuride steel preferred, or Ford Alcoa if you want to bling it out.

MTC. Toyo M-55 is the tire to get.

Running a mud tire without being in the mud all the time is giving you less rubber contact with the pavement when your driving on the street.

I've run LOTS of different brands and Toyo always comes out on top.

I don't know what your running for power, but my rig would eat those BFG's up by the end of summer.

Just trying to help, good luck in your quest for new skins!!!

I've had M55s. They aren't as tough as everyone thinks. Mine didn't wear like "iron" + I actually lost a tire due to a sidewall cut when I barely fell off the side of a paved driveway. They have a relatively soft compound as well. For the price you can almost buy two sets of KM2's for one set of M55... (in the 255/85R16 size)

On a semi stock 1st gen the BFG KM2 will last just as long if not longer than the M55 IMO and I've had both. Guys run the KM2 255/85R16 on dually trucks with no issue as well.

Kelly ATR and TSR are a couple to consider - 285, but no 255 though. E/3750# rated. I'm running a couple ATRs on the back on my D250 with the locker. Fit nice on a Ford 16x7 wheel IMO. Cheapest tire I could get too

EDIT: Kelly is Goodyear's 3rd-line tire after Dunlop.
