that resort was big and fancy but they also treated you very well there. Service was some of the best I've had anywhere. I like Wyo's part of the country alot! Been to Colorado and Wyoming a few times and I like it out there. My favortive this is the lack of people there and it's pretty country.

Evening DTR. Got a call this morning from a friend to come out and do some work for him today. He took a load of beans to the elevator this morning and noticed he had an air tanking leaking on the trailer. Had me replace the tank for him. It would have been a quick job but no one close had the right tank so we had to make a trip into the city for the right tank. After we got that done we ran a few loads of beans to the elevator. Might be doing some more for him in the future or running the tractor and auger wagon if he finds another driver for the semi. Having a cold one right now and relaxing.

Morning.

Got to sleep until 0700 today!

Today is Wednesday, November 4th.

On this day in 1842 - Abraham Lincoln married Mary Todd in Springfield, IL.

1846 - The patent for the artificial leg is granted to Benjamin Palmer.

1880 - James and John Ritty patented the first cash register.

1922 - In Egypt, Howard Carter discovered the entry of the lost tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamen.

1924 - Nellie T. Ross of Wyoming was elected America's first woman governor so she could serve out the remaining term of her late husband, William B. Ross.

1939 - During World War II, the U.S. modified its neutrality stance with the Neutrality Act of 1939. The new policy allowed cash-and-carry purchases of arms by belligerents.

1939 - At the 40th National Automobile Show the first air-conditioned car was put on display.

1942 - During World War II, Axis forces retreated from El Alamein in North Africa. It was a major victory for the British.

1956 - Soviet forces enter Hungary in order to supress the uprising that had begun on October 23, 1956.

1965 - Lee Ann Roberts Breedlove became the first woman to exceed 300 mph when she went 308.5 mph.

1970 - Former King Peter II of Yugoslavia died in Denver, CO. He was the first European king or queen to die and to be buried in the U.S.

1979 - Iranian militants seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran and took 63 Americans hostage (90 total hostages). The militants, mostly students, demanded that the U.S. send the former shah back to Iran to stand trial. Many hostages were later released, but 52 were held for the next 14 months.

Now ain't that sweet. Amazing how some people can change. Hey, go have fun, 3/4.

Another busy day - - wow, thought I was retarded - - I mean retired. (shut up, Scott - - ) So, off to the races again. Replacing two tires on the truck today and all tires on the fiver tomorrow. Getting ready for the next trip. My two last original tires on the truck are cracking - - lots of rubber but strarting to rot. Hey, got the truck seven years ago and tires are a lot cheaper than a new truck. So, I put the coffee pot, ph00 pot and water pot all on - - brought some cimmmmammom rolls - - on the counter - - drugged the critter in the corner - - so, come and get 'em. Me gone.

Bob
