Only spent 2 days in Cabo, everything seemed fairly nice?? Parents have time share in Cayman.. Spend most my time under water.. I dont see much of the locals.

Good to see folks posting! sounds like some are doing well!!

as chaiwka says" nice to have to worry about picking a vacation destination"
so hehehe, good luck with that AKPaul! my preference is cozumel but like eric- I scuba dive. found a nice site on treasure seeking in Florida...hmmmm...

beautiful day here, did work for everyone but us, which felt good. nice to see folks from all around. welded, fixed electrical problems in a home, then to a truck with funky brake lights/turn signals. short in flasher/bad ground on frame. what a light show though. dropped off a 24 inch walnut for milling, got to see sycamore. haven't seen those trees since I was a kid.
also stared at 40 inch cherry logs, dropped off from tree company cause someone wanted them gone before they fell on house. man, I wish I had a needed wood project for that!!!

election tomorrow. wish me luck or stop by and vote.

buncha narrow minded people...
Other than daily rains, Singapore is nice this time of year. do some shopping in Batam City Center (45 minute ferry from Singapore).
Brunei is a nice place to visit. the beaches in KB are small, and have a bunch of drift wood, but they are almost always empty.

OK, I'll say it......I've never seen a 24" walnut. Must take an awfully big squirrel to pull that nut out of the tree and drop it off anywhere.

And knowing this you didn't plan ahead so you could just copy and paste it in???? You know we will just die without your morning history lesson. It's the wind beneath our wings.

Evening Yall

Just checking in. Bought me a brand new Macbook Pro. 1st ever apple computer and Im learning the ropes on it.

Rick, That gulf trip wasnt a pleasure trip, it was a working trip. One of those 2200 hrs "Hey be at the dock at 0400hrs the next morning we need you offshore" call in the middle of the night trips. Was a good trip though. Didnt think to bring a camera to takes pics, chaikwa would have gotten a kick outa the pipelay ships setup and the welding stations.

come on... you know better than that... you ALWAYS keep a camera in the laptop bag just in case.
Our offshore tech has had a few of those. It still amazes me that they can have a helo fueled and waiting on you, but there's never room and never one available when youre ready to go back to shore...

I ALWAYS have a camera in the puter bag. But when I talked to my dad he told me to leave the laptop at home cause the internet service was ridiculously slow on that particular ship and he would be handling the reports. I just didnt think to grab my camera outta the bag.

One of the engineers for the company did get some good pics of our personnel basket ride. It hooked the railing of the boat (seas were picking up) and sent a couple of guys sprawling. I managed to hang on, how I dont know. I wanted a copy but he wouldnt release it cause of it being a safety issue.

I dont have the luxury of someone else to write my reports. Even when I have gone somewhere with my boss, he expects MY report. I send reports every time im out of the office.

Evening DTR.

Had a nice day here. Weather was warm and sunny so it was agood day to get some outside work done. Got the last of the parts in for dads honda, pick them up this morning and finished up the car. When he gets back from vacation he can then get a new set of tires for it. Did some work around his shop today cleaning and organizing the tools and equipment. He's selling his Farmall Super C now, he's been slowly selling off his antique tractor collection. Only one left now will be the M. I'm gonna head to his shop tomorrow with some good polish and polish the sheet metal on the C for him. It's a nice tractor, I'm sure someone will buy it.

Welcome back Blake!
