Kitchen knife is not quit as embarrassing though. Nothing quite like shootin yourself!!!

I put a 16 penny nail through my right finger once. Walked over to my neighbors house with my pliers and asked him to yank on it for me to get it out. His mom walked out and yelled at me to get in the car. At the ER there was a line of inters who saw the xray on the wall outside the door and had to see it. It was kinda funny. The doc came in, I asked him what kind of tool he needed to take it out and he said they had one just for that. I was surprised to say the least. he came back in with an old pair of stanley slip joint pliers!!!!

After I stopped laughing he pulled the nail out, guess the glue had loosened up by then!!!!

To bad I did not get a picture of that one

Morning all.

Today is Thursday, November 5th.

On this day in 1844 - In California, a grizzly bear underwent a successful cataract operation at the Zoological Garden.

1872 - In the U.S., Susan B. Anthony was fined $100 for attempting to vote in the presidential election. She never paid the fine.

1895 - George B. Selden received the first U.S. patent for an automobile. He sold the rights for $200,000 four years later.

1911 - Italy officially annexed Tripoli.

1935 - The game "Monopoly" was introduced by Parker Brothers Company.

1940 - U.S. President Roosevelt won an unprecedented third term in office.

1956 - British and French forces began landing in Egypt during the Suez Canal Crisis. A cease-fire was declared 2 days later.

Yes, it was a slow history day!

15 degrees. Thought of you guys up there, ofc marc-
I tried to walk around today in just a sweatshirt (it's 20 here with the wet wind) and was okay working outside. it's that truck/office/in and out that is killing me..... hubby slanted down my bucket forks for a better grab/lift. we are using the forks to cut trees off the ground, saving chain and backs. slide on and off or tip off from the 2 inch I beam I welded to the top of the bucket. nice clevis mount for chain hooks too, works great.

inside doing paperwork now, then off to work....
then home! then work..........

hot water, hot chocolate and really strong McDonald's coffee here, cause it was terrible when i ordered it this AM......

Sounds cool! I'll have to look at my plans for the week end though. The giant gap between the garage door and the floor is going to be problematic soon......

I've had one of mine get stuck in a press before, it sucks. Worst I ever had was getting my hand caught in the brake rigging on a locomotive. Broke three fingers and had some good cuts on them from trying to get my hand out. Luck i had leather gloves on otherwise they would have probably been worse.

chaikwa.
It wasn't a parring knife... I use a machete to cut food when I cook.

Evening DTR, did a little work for the farmer today. Had an early day so i came home and picked up the neighbors leaves that were covering my yard. Wife and I are going to dinner tonight and then to best buy. She needs a new laptop, hers took a poop this week. It kept turning itself off and on and doing a bunch of wierd things. I've been telling her to get a mac and to get away from microsoft. My next computer will be one of the macs.

How's everyone today?
