When I had that issue on one unit it was due to not enough RAM It is not giving a reason?
Are you doing a full install or over Win?

256 rignt now 900 mgh
it does seam at each attempt i get farther

ok, its really 128 mb of user ram, 256 of system ram (cant save files to it)

this ia a ibm laptop -20 gig hard drive
cpu is 900
ram 256 + i`m going to add 256
its old but should work allright with ubunto 9.5
it does`nt require as much memory to run as windows
i have 2000 pro on it right now and it operats that fine>
just figured ide try ununtu supose to be faster
