T/c lockup switch question

OK...i ran a scotchlock connector off of the orange wire with black stripe {on driver's side of engine compartment} with ground wire 16 gauge? running to a 3-prong switch in cab, then grounded the switch in the cab to metal? no lockup ??? [undecided]...did i tap into the wrong wire, wrong part of the wire or what?? the switch kinda lights up the "wait to start" light for some reason.. wierd...

Re:T/c lockup switch question

Try tho "other" orange/black wire from that connector. Yes you have the wait to start light wire. I did the same thing with a 97.
