Welcome.
It is pretty easy to get the emblems off. Some use fishing line and slide it between emblem and body, carefully. I have used a heat gun (autobody places have them) that is actually hotter then a typical hair dryer. You can use WD-40 to get the residue off afterwards without much cleanup.

I have the fender trim on mine, pics in gallery, not to hard to take off but go slow because they are plastic. I talked to a guy I use to order all my parts through, and he told me that someone was making them now already notched out so you would not have to remove the badge, also worked on the hemi's.

I pryed mine off with a sharp-edged chisel, VERY CAREFULLY, & didn't do any damage to the paint. This was before I had heard about using the fishing line, which, I believe would be a much safer method.
I cleaned off the rest of the double-sided tape & re-applied new tape. After installing the stainless steel fenderwell trim, I re-installed the Cummins labels in the same position but, just a little higher & so there's a bit of clearance between the trim & the headlight assemblies. It worked out great & looks like stock. Most folks would never know they had been moved. Joe F.(Buffalo)

Remove my emblems with a good hair dryer, used a plastic putty knife carefully. Installed a little higher. Stainless flares nice. |
