You really need to write a book..

Evening gang.. Forgot to take pics of my sloppy welding. I'll post some tomorrow when I go back to work.

I received a call tonight that my surgery for the repair of the right arm is on Monday. We will be going out of town for this surgery and leaving on Sunday.

It only took 7 months to get to this point. [sarcasm]

During that time I have learned more then what I wanted to about people and our health care system.

Here's to a successful surgery and a speed recovery...onwards!

He watched me weld one, then he welded the last set he had. He took them to school and broke Mr. Fix's (the teacher) home made weld testing machine with it.

I told my dad about it and he explained that them that can do, and them that can't teach.

I learned to stick weld from a well driller. He had to stand under most of his welding.

Yet even MORE useful information. Thanks! I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm in front of a class.

Scotty- you coming west for the surgery???

As for us amateur welders, a farmer friend of mine calls himself a pylon welder. He just keeps piling it on, until it holds.

Did I mention that I am on vacation for the next week. Wahoo. Gonna work on my honeydew list. Ya'all know - honey do this and honey do that.....

Good deal!! Glad you are going to the welders, not a surgeon.
(just looked up Saskatoon welding, they appear to be pretty good).

I like it! That was me. I finally learned it would cost me less to have somebody who knew what they were doing do it for me.

Kinda like the time I tried brain surgery.... (cincy, Im just kidding I think). However, If I had bought a good welder instead of the old buzz box I got, I probably would have stuck with it.

My dad used a brush way too broad.

My high school shop teacher in 1963 was Walt Pederson. In 1968 he was the mechanic on the Plaisted Expedition, snowmbiles to the North Pole. It's pretty obvious he could do.

His shop kids built some amazing cars. One of them was a multi-carbed, hopped up Hemi in a Dodge cop car so the cops could keep up with us.

The kids welding teacher, however, was a complete idiot when it came to welding.

Evening DTR, been busy with work and projects at the house lately. Got the gardens uncovered for the season and the cabbage, radishes, and peas have been planted. I have a few toms, beans, and cucumbers growing in the house that I'll transplant once the weather is good.

Did some work on the dodge, new rear brakes, rotors and calipers, and u-joints.

Dad got a new truck a week ago, he end up getting a white 2008 Ram 1500 2wd long bed regular cab slt with 40,000 miles for $10,000. It's a very nice truck and very clean.
