Speedometer help

Hello folks....I did search but didn't see my problem. My speedometer, and odometer went out bout 3 yrs ago.....been sitting on my desk till this evening. The cruise, and OD both have worked fine all this time! I put in new gears but that is not the problem....I've since found out the gears are for the odometer....lol Where do I go from here to get this thing fixed?

Thanks, Tony

Being that these are electrical, have you checked all the wiring and connections? There is also a sender unit at the tranny. Do you have a spare speedometer to test to see if signal is reaching the speedometer?

Probably the electric motor on the speedo. If it were the sensor at the trans, OD and cruise wouldn't work.

I think the first gen is teh same as the second gen, clusters/speedo is the same for both gasser and diesel.
