Are you an American transplanted in Austria, are you stationed there or are you a citizen that speaks really, really good English? I don't think I've been around long enough to know your story....at any rate, I'm really glad you contribute to the site on a regular basis, I love to read your posts!! (And let me know if you need any peanut butter...Oreo cookies...a few DTR stickers...... ;D)

Have been to Africa, worked there... well generally loving to live on the move. Right now I am a freelance computer tech. Most customers from the automotive supply chain.
Working on some projects about using biogas as a propellant for generators. ...Trying to get back on my feet financially after being .......... by my partners in a company ( still hold 1/3rd of this ****) . Learned car mech in a tuning company- we built race cars. Made my high school and college parallel to working. Then due to reprogramming of injection systems came to computers. Went to university in Leoben, but had too much work to get on with my studies... found some of my fellow students in the employment office while I renewed the network there. Stopped stzudying. Re:So what's your story, AlpineRam?

Well Java, thanks for the compliments on m english. you know that practicing to write and read in english is good, but talking would be better. I do have some troubles when making phone calls to the US.
My situation will improve, because I am working on it. Generally I am a knd of problem solver for some customers. Due to wider based skills than the average computer techie I can give them hints in automation of industrial processes etc. There is something I do in my spare time when I am not trying to make the Dodge faster. It's a project called charityrunning. The site is in German only ( yet). The basic idea behind it is that you organize some running event. All participants pay some starting fee (avg 7 US$), and run together without timing. So its not a competition. If you get enough people to participate the local radio stations and sometimes TV are giving you some coverage. So you can sell some advertising space at the event.
All the money that is earned is used for beneficiary NGOs. ( Like aiding children suffering from cancer). Al the work is done without getting paid, so even with some small event you can do a lot of good.
I donated the domain and the webspace for it, and I'd like to try to make a platform for all events following the same principles out of it.
Any help on that is really appreciated. ( Did somebody say graphics design over here ? )
I really like this site and spend quite a deal of time over here.

AlpineRAM
