I'm looking at my project and I'm thinking more and more that a set of 1 ton dually axles may be my best bet to go. But I'm wondering(I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue but I'll ask anyways) I am going to run 2 different sets of tires(1 commercial truck tire set of 265/70R19.5's and an equvalent set of offroad boggers for when I go offroad) So I was hoping that there wouldn't be any issues if I was to run a dually axle with only a single rear wheel when I go wheeling. the SRW would be as wide as the DRW's anyways the rear wheels are only like 7" wide to begin with and I want at least a 14" tire I realize there will be a probably 2 inch gap in between the dual rear wheels but thats ok.

Been considering super single concept myself. Looking at 325 Nittos on 12" wide wheels but having trouble finding steel wheels in 17 or 18 size...

Found some Pacer 18x12 rated at 3500 lbs each yesterday...

Auction ended a couple minutes ago but i am sure they will be relisted. Just biding my time.

Also found 20x11 super single wheels. Manufacturer says they will soon make for 3500 trucks, not jsut the current 4500/5500 offerings. www.grasstruck.com.

Yes, it is really easy. I had 35x11.50s single tire on the dually for a long time, than I needed to tow a lot so went back to a dually. All you need is 8 lug rims and 32 lugnuts, since a single wheel is centered by the beveled lugnuts unlike the bud wheels that use the actual hub to center and flat lugnuts.
