Wow, had to look twice this afternoon to find the BR! Good rainy day here, nothing pressing to do. Put some "no name" LED's on the front bumper. Wifey keeps telling me it needs more light, more chrome, and more sound. Think I'll keep her!
A coworker of mine has a new soundtrack for a play now playing in New York. Not normally my kind of music, but I have it playing in the background. The boy done good. Have a safe and relaxing weekend!

Sausage Aficionado (In training)
Happy Sunday all y'all. The potatoes are all out of the ground for another year. It was a good year for potatoes - we have about 400 lbs of them curing in the barn. My sister and her kids stopped by for an impromptu visit yesterday that turned into dinner and a sleepover. Someone served me one too many glasses of wine. Let me tell you, digging potatoes with a hangover isn't as much fun as you might think it is. Despite the bad forecast we had for the weekend the weather has been really good so now it is time to relax on the deck and enjoy a nice evening after two days of hard work in the garden.
Play safe all y'all.

What time of the year is that? And why is there a helicopter rotor blade stickin' outta the grass on the right side of the road?
Got up late and didn't have time to post yesterday, today I was just impatient and didn't feel like waiting for the site to let me in. Sorry. Maybe I'll be in a more patient frame of mind tomorrow. I've been fighting with my shop fan for the last coupla days. The motor on the old one finally gave up. It didn't owe me anything, I put it in in 2001 and it was used then. Went and got a new motor Friday, installed it and it ran for all of 5 minutes before I started smelling something kinda 'hot'. Put the infrared thermometer on it and it was reading 217 degrees. Didn't think that was right so I went to shut it off and it went out on thermal before I had the chance. After it cooled off, I tried it again with the same result. Too late to bring it back and exchange it, so I tried another motor I had laying around. That was turned out to be junk too, (which is probably why I had it in the first place). So Saturday I went to Tractor Supply and bought a whole new fan, the kind that's meant to sit on the floor. Dis-assembled it and fit it into the hole in the shop wall. That thing sounded like an airplane getting ready for take-off and it didn't even move much air. It was so loud it drowned out the air compressor. Hauled some logs yesterday so I didn't get a chance to mess around with it, but today I removed the TSC fan, made a new mounting door and installed a squirrel cage blower that I knew had a bad motor, but I wanted to see if it would pull enough air. It does, so tomorrow I'll exchange the bad new motor for a new good one and put that in the squirrel cage blower. Just for grins I put power to the new bad motor on the bench to see if it would run longer with no load on it. As soon as I put power to it, the shaft locks up. Remove the power and it spins free. I'd say it's Junque.
Everyone have a safe Labor Day weekend?

Yeah gotta love new electrical equipment. Most of it is junk these days. Even the bearings are sealed now, no more 10w lube and run forever. Beware of genuine Chinese made fuses to, ato, atc, atm, etc. They are absolute CRAP!!! they don't carry the current they are rated for before blowing out, and they have a tendency for the horseshoe to break away right at the leg, so the fuse looks fine, but it's failed. Been bitten by that one a couple times.
Other than that, unloaded 38 1400lb rounds today, stacked them all nice and pretty n stuff. Just have to tarp them. Gotta love picking up rounds that actually weigh what they're supposed to, instead of the "cautiously optimistic" ones we generally get around here. Only stood the skid steer on its face once this time.
Weather is still so so at best. Snow in the hills this morning, after rain all night down here. This summer has been wet enough, I'm looking forward to winter. At least it will be frozen, that you can deal with.
I should invest in some cheese to go with my whine today. So, enough.
Have a great next 24.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
I see how you are. Nothing to eat, so you just up and leave!
Do you blame me? Just checked and still nothing. Lary and Shorts spoiled us.
Coffee is on. No goodies tho.

Noticed that too and was wondering what the story was.

Thanks for the info!
You notice how he skillfully avoided that subject?
No history this morning, the site I go to to get that stuff is 'undergoing routine maintenance'.
Off to fight with the motor people. Enjoy the coffee, just be careful.
